Hello and welcome to Gate of Truth, everyone! Let me say a few words about how this RPG goes around.

First of all I’d kindly ask you to read the Rules and make sure you follow them, or measures will be taken.

To start the game all you have to do is to create your character. You can do that by going in the Character forum, decide whether you want to become a Military Soldier or an Alchemist and fill in the respective Sheet. After that you have to wait for an admin to fill in your personal Character Sheet which will appear in your profile and you can start the game. If you have any questions about the Character Sheets, please contact the admin team.

After you have created your Character, you start your training as a Soldier or Alchemist. To do that you should visit Central and go to the corresponding Academy and fill in your CV (a really short autobiography) in the Reception Desk there. Once that is done you start building up your skills trough classes and assignments, studying for Basic Military/Alchemy Skills.

There’s a section in your Character Sheet that goes for your training, consisting of Skill Level and three other obligatory abilities /different for Soldiers and Alchemists/ which go up by grades. As you study you gradually raise those grades until you get the needed results to finish your training. To see the Grades you need to acquire, see the Grades System.

When you accomplish that, there will be an exam to decide on weather you are ready to gain the Basic Military/Alchemy Skill or not. The exam will consist of a mission in which you will be accompanied by a supervisor who will only watch and write down your actions. Depending on your decisions and accomplishments on the mission, you may or may not pass. If you pass, you gain the new Skill Level and continue. If you fail, you have to stay in the Academy until you’ve raised all of the obligatory abilities by one more level, before you can take the exam again.

When you gain your Basic Military/Alchemy Skill, you have the option of leaving the Academy and going off on your own for as long as you wish, or start your next training immediately.

When you begin to study your Standard Military/Alchemy Skill, you are allowed to choose a specialization. See the Military/Alchemy Specialization System for more information. Studying goes in the same way as the Basic Military/Alchemy Skill training. When the needed grades are reached, you go through a new exam to prove your worth. Passing goes the same way like the previous exam.

After you’ve learned your Standard Military/Alchemy Skill you can claim a position in the Military as a Soldier or later take the State Alchemist exam. For more information check the State Alchemist Exam System.

After you finish your Standard Military/Alchemy Skill Training you are not obliged to continue for Expert Military/Alchemy Skill. You can leave the Academy for as long as you like and start you career in the Military and start going up the ranks or begin as an Alchemist of the State or independent. If you wish to perfect your skills and reach the next Skill Level, you have to abandon your career for a little while and go back to the Academy. There you repeat what you’ve done two times already and gain Expert Military/Alchemy Skill. When you gain that a new opportunity opens up to you: you can become a teacher at the Academy you’ve graduated from. If you do not wish for that you can still get an independent or Military-related career. As someone with a certificate for Expert Military/Alchemy Skills you will have better opportunities in both occupations and you may find a brighter future ahead of you.
