The paved streets of Central were also lively and noisy, many vehicles as well as pedestrans made their way past the small stands all over the place.
The Laboratory was a huge spacious building with high ceilings. There were many cubpboards, stuffed with various glass vessels filled with strange liquids. There were also long working tables around which many scientists were shuttling. Here Alchemists who had covered the first skill level could take part in experiments or make their own research.

Not many people chose Central's sewers as a hang-out place for the stinch and rats reigned below the city. The corridors were filled with water and fuzzy creatures swiming in it (most of them long dead, of course) and there were multiple windings and turns. One could always find small change or useless trash.

The State Library was everything but moderate. The main building was huge not only from the outside, but was also very vast. The space inside was filled by numerous bookcases, where one could find anything; as expected from the biggest library in Amestris. To enter the archives you needed to be a State Alchemist so the halls of the building were almost always empty except for the few librarians rushing up and down them.
